Last updated: October 16, 2026. This website is a recruitment and advocacy information site for the Michigan Coalition for Family Court Fairness. It is not a court, law firm, licensed counseling service or emergency reporting system.
What the forms request
Our membership and story-interest forms ask for your name, email and optional phone, county/city, and broad categories about your interests or experiences. Optional text fields are capped in length and should not contain private case records or identifying information about children. We do not invite or accept video files or court-document uploads through this website.
Why we request this information
We use inquiries to assess coalition volunteering opportunities, contact interested adults about community outreach, and, when requested, discuss whether a future private interview or adult video testimony may be appropriate. Providing information does not guarantee coalition acceptance, interviews or inclusion in a public project.
Form processing and storage
This website is packaged for static hosting with Netlify Forms. If it is deployed as supplied on Netlify and the host enables form processing, submissions are handled through the website operator's Netlify account. Before launch, the coalition administrator must configure access controls, notification recipients and an appropriate retention/deletion process. If the site is deployed somewhere else, these forms will not collect submissions unless a compatible backend is configured.
Video testimony requires separate permission
Checking “interested in future video testimony” merely expresses an interest. No public release, transfer to media, publication of a name, or use of any recording is authorized by this form. Any interview, filming or publication must involve a separate explanation of risks, informed written permission, identity and consent review, and an opportunity to discuss privacy protections.
Children's information and safety
Only adults aged 18 or older should submit forms. Do not include minors' names, photographs, health details, schools, addresses or other identifying facts. Do not submit nonpublic court records, protected orders, confidential therapist notes, evidence exhibits or details that violate any order or law. If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 or use appropriate official child-safety reporting channels.
Who should have access
Submission access should be limited to authorized coalition members responsible for intake and recruiting. The administrator should establish written practices for secure storage, deletion, avoiding unnecessary sharing, and requests to correct or remove submitted contact details before collecting live submissions. Nothing in this notice promises an absolute level of security, confidentiality or legal privilege.
External sites
Links to Michigan legislative websites and other third-party destinations are operated independently and have their own privacy terms. We are not affiliated with the State of Michigan.
How to make a privacy inquiry
Once the coalition has designated a privacy contact, that email address should be published here before launch. Until then, refrain from submitting any private or sensitive information. The coalition should use a verified organization-controlled email address rather than a member's personal inbox.
